Escape

Finn loves to be outside and now he knows how to get there on his own. He doesn't go out the door though the main part of the house - oh no, he has a much sneakier plan.

I'll be sitting at my computer and look over at the windows and there's Finn peeking in the window from the deck. Here's what he does:

First he goes in our bedroom and shuts the door behind him so no one will know what he is up to.

Then he opens the door from our bedroom to outside (there is no way to lock it from the inside) and goes down the two steps to the deck.

And there you will find him, just hanging out, dumping out bowls of water, eating a snack, etc.

He does this again and again. Every time I turn around he's outside. For the first day or so he was happy to just stay on the deck. Then he decided to go down the steps and play in the yard (which is fenced).

Here he is with a collection of rocks, bark and flowers he gathered in the yard and put into a container he took from one of the kitchen cabinets. He is very proud of this collection.

Sadly for Finn, there is now a bench in front of the door.
