Happy New Year

I realize that I'm a little behind here. I guess I've been on a bit of a blog vacation. After an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable two weeks of holiday time in which we really had no obligations and Tim was off of work, it's a little hard to get back into the swing of things.

Our new year started out right - with a visit from dear friends. A big part of our New Year's Eve and Day involved us watching plays, several plays.

First there was the play on New Year's Eve - The Southern Belle who wanted to become a Northern Belle.

This play involved a Northern Fairy, a Southern Belle and of course a Green Faced Skeleton.

Then came the New Year's Day play, which was really a continuation of the first play with a lot more costume changes (involving multiple layers of clothing) and some audience participation.

There was even a unofficial stagehand. He felt it was necessary to bring in various props that really had nothing to do with the actual play.

After a little break it was time for the second performance of the day - a puppet show of sorts, made from aliens created by Ely. This play had a well thought out plot and involved multiple puppeteers and backstage help.

So it seems we are off to the start of a very creative year here.
